The first wash

Last Saturday, we gave N236SP its first shower

N236SP is online!

At last. We have been dreaming of owning a plane since we were old enough to think.

We have been actively searching for a nice plane since June 2004 and finally here it is: our dream Cessna 172sp with color GPS, autopilot, leather seats, etc.

Pitot static and Transponder completed

The Pitot static and Transponder inspection required for IFR flight has been completed.

Annual

N236SP successfully completed its annual inspection. It is good to go for another year!

SMO approach notes

Super clean plane

An enthusiast pilot volunteered to our "wash N236SP and fly 1 hour for free" program.

The plane is now cleaner than ever.

Back from 100h maintenance

N236SP away on June 29-30 for its 100h inspection

The PTT is fixed

Wheel pants removed

ADF disconnected

We have disconnected the ADF, as it was not 100% reliable.

100h maintenance and inspection

N236SP did his 100h maintenance and inspection at the beginning of May 2005.

GPS Database updated

The GPS database has been updated. It is IFR certified until May 15, 2005.

50 hour maintenance - April 5, 2005

N236SP had its 50 hour maintenance today and is back online ready to fly.

We also fixed the broked grounding cable on the elevator and a bald spot on the tire.

Small news - March 28, 2005

There was a small calibration problem reported between the GPS and the slaved VOR OBS.

This has been fixed today.

The nose wheel shimmy has been fixed

Minor squawks - March 12, 2005

There are a few minor squawks on the plane. They will be fixed next Tuesday (March 15).
